Bambusa Nutans

Bambusa Nutans, commonly referred to as Mal bamboo, is prevalent in the mid-eastern and far-eastern regions of Nepal. This bamboo species is particularly abundant in Nepal because of its extensive commercial use in domestic applications.

The average diameter of this bamboo varies between 2.75 inches and 3.25 inches, with a maximum usable length of up to 22 feet.

Untreated and immature bamboos are utilized for scaffolding and temporary structures. However, when treated and seasoned adequately, constructions made from this bamboo can endure for over 30 years.
