Bambusa Balcooa

Bambusa Balcooa, also known as Harauti bamboo, is indigenous to the mid-western regions of Nepal, including districts like Makwanpur, Nawalparasi, Bara, and Chitwan.

Typically, the diameter of this bamboo varies from 3 to 3.5 inches, and it boasts a usable height of up to 22 feet. It is regarded as one of the strongest bamboos globally, attributed to its short internodal distances and robust inner membrane.

When properly treated and seasoned, this species is often used for constructing permanent structures, serving as posts, pillars, and purlins to support heavy loads.
