Kitchen with Hempcrete Wall and Bamboo Structure

This sustainable kitchen is located adjacent to the Bamboo Pavilion at Akasha Academy in Suntakhan, Kathmandu. Built on a solid concrete foundation, the structure features Harauti Bamboo (Bambusa Balcooa) for the frame and Mal Bamboo (Bambusa Nutan) for the roofing, ensuring durability and sustainability.

The walls are made of mud plaster with bamboo woven mat as the framework, providing a substantial 6-inch thickness, reinforced with limestone plaster for additional strength.

Currently in the final stage of handover of the project with some sanitary work pending.
