Bamboo Display Rack for Vegetable Mart
Urban Bazar is a local market located in mid-Baneshwor, Kathmandu, that offers a wide range of natural and organic groceries from different regions of Nepal. The market was established in 2021 and our involvement in the project was to create customized bamboo furniture and decor for the store.
We designed various items such as racks, shelves, hangers and a unique piece called ‘Thela Gada’ that was entirely made of bamboo. All of the furniture was eco-friendly, which aligns with the store’s commitment to being 100% organic. This distinctive aspect of the store has received a lot of positive feedback from both the owners and customers.
The project was coordinated by Mr. Shyam, the Managing Director of Jara Partner, while we, GBC, provided the required furniture as per design as a sub-contractor. This project was one of its kind and a fantastic learning opportunity for us. Our work has inspired many customers who visit the store.
