Bamboo R&D partnership with MBUST
With the recent collaboration of GBC with MBUST, we have come up with the new update. Green Bamboo Creation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology to set a broad framework of meaningful collaboration to achieve the agreed objective under this cooperation.
The purpose of this MoU is to establish a framework for technical collaboration between GBC and MBUST in the field of bamboo research and development, particularly focusing on bamboo treatment, bamboo construction technologies, structural analysis, and testing of engineered bamboo components for sustainable development.
MoU signed on 25th June, 2025, effective till a 5-year period, has the major pointers discussed;
- The patent rights of the collaborative work shall be jointly owned by both parties.
- Documents, research findings and reports related to bamboo treatment, physical and mechanical properties, tests of engineered boards, either developed by GBC or not, are to be co-shared.
- Financial, technical, and kind support are to be provided as mutually agreed upon.
GBC is eager to support MBUST in its research and development initiatives and is confident that this partnership will bring a greater contribution to bamboo’s research and its documentation, benefiting the future. This partnership marks the beginning of a shared vision for eco-friendly, resilient, and affordable bamboo-based housing and infrastructure. Its outcome will be used to the advantage of bamboo farmers, processing and pre-processing facilities and bamboo structure architects and construction firms.
